Kathy Volrath received her training in Therapeutic Massage from Anne Arundel Community College. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Cancer and Mastectomy Massage Therapist, Certified Massage Cupping Practitioner, and a Certified Equine and Canine Sports Massage Therapist. She has received training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Massage for Fibromyalgia, Massage for the Chronologically-Gifted, Hot Stone Massage, various biofield therapies, Reflexology, Indian Head and Foot Massage, and Raindrop Therapy.

Michele Pedersen received her training as a Massage Therapist at Baltimore School of Massage in 1986. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She received certifications in Reiki I and II, is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and a Certified Wu-Ming Qigong Teacher for Breast Health. Michele is also a Certified Hypnobirthing Childbirth Instructor, providing support during natural childbirth. She has also received training in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage as well as Shiatsu Acupressure massage, Healing Touch, Chakra Balancing, Quantum Touch, Craniosacral work, Neuromuscular, strengthening and stretching techniques for the whole body, Hot Stone Therapy, massage cupping, and seaweed body wraps. Michele’s special interests are holistic nutrition, hormone balancing, and alternative approaches to healthcare in order to support her clients in achieving a higher quality of life.

Amy Teets received her training in Therapeutic Massage from Anne Arundel Community College in 2005. Amy is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Hot Stone Therapy. Amy has also received a certificate in Sports Massage. Amy loves being able to help her clients reach their goals through massage.

Robert Ristow has been practicing Shiatsu and Macrobiotics for 24 years. He is a graduate of the Kushi Institute (Macrobiotics and Shiatsu) and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He studied and worked for ten years with well-known Macrobiotic teacher, counselor, and acupuncturist Michael Rossoff. Robert has also taught Shiatsu classes.

Lynn Breeding, M.Ac., L.Ac., AcuCare, received her Masters of Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel MD. Tai Sophia, founded in 1978, became the first acupuncture school in the United States accredited to award the Masters degree. AcuCare has been located in Eldersburg on Liberty Road since 2006. As an acupuncturist, Lynn endeavors to partner with her patients to lead them to greater levels of wellness in their lives.

Bob Ciampaglia is a Certified Supreme Science Qigong instructor, Level-1 Qigong Healing Form, Breath Empowerment & Nine-Breath Method, Level-2 Qigong Healing Form, and Level-3 Workshop Facilitator. Qigong has become Bob’s life’s work. He has dedicated himself to the practices and teachings of Qigong. Qigong gives Bob strength, energy, and love of spirit which he wants to share with the world.

Jill Shaw has been a licensed Cosmetologist/Esthetician since 1988. She specializes in skin care and tailors each visit to meet her client’s individual skin care needs. Jill attended the International School of Cosmetology and Von Lee International School of Aesthetics. She continues her education on skin care by taking various product line classes and attending skin care seminars. Jill loves to do everything from wax hair removal, makeup applications, customized chemical peels, and most of all her “Signature Facial” that leaves clients feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. She thrives on pampering her clients and educating them about their skin.

Lesley Vogel RD, LD has been a practicing Registered Dietitian for the past 17 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition from Florida State University and completed her Dietetic Internship at the Yale-New Haven Hospital (affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine). She went immediately to work at one of the nation’s premier medical institutions, the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she remains employed on a part-time basis. In addition to her clinical work, Lesley has been honored to provide countless nutrition lectures to community groups, various businesses, dietetic interns, and medical schools. Because of her passion to spread the message of good nutrition to our youth, she is currently teaching nutrition and coordinating a Healthy Lifestyles Program at an inner city high school in Baltimore serving underprivileged students.Lesley’s goal is to reach out to the community and empower them to greater health through good nutrition with a focus on disease prevention and wellness promotion. Because she is also a wife and mother of two, Lesley is keenly aware of the nutritional challenges that face today’s individuals and families. Her dedication for providing real life solutions allows her to help people in a thoughtful, practical, and caring manner.Lesley is especially happy to join forces with Therapeutic Kneads Wellness Center to help each client by offering the information and tools necessary to achieve an abundantly healthy and fruitful life. |
